The Fort Wayne Foundry notified union leaders of its Columbia City plant it plans to layoff 135 workers. The move comes less than a year after more than 160 workers lost their jobs at the Fort Wayne plant.

A statement to union leaders said the last day of molding will be Feb. 19th. The Foundry said it would try to pay workers vacation pay owed to them.

Union leaders say no WARN Act notice has been filed with the State of Indiana regarding the layoffs yet. WARN Act notices must be filed 60 days before a company plans to layoff large numbers of workers.
