It might be a little too early to know if winter is gone for good. That's not stopping some local businesses from cashing in on the warmer temperatures.

Joe Galbraith, the Vice President of Galbraith & Sons Landscaping says they use days like today to get ready for their most profitable time of year. “Today we're getting our inventory out. We keep a lot of our plants in cold storage. On days like today it gives us a chance to get them out.

"More people are venturing outdoors in the warmer weather. That's a plus for Galbraith's. Any time you get 50º to 60º weather and sunny it gets people out of their house. They see things they need to get done. The honey-do list starts to add up. It gives companies like me the chance to come in and help how we can."

Parks and Recreations saw activity on trails and in the parks pick up this weekend.  Al Moll, Director of Parks & Recreation says “We start getting calls now. Is this open, is this venue open? Is the park open? Well the parks are always open until at least 11:00 at night.”

No doubt warmer weather is helping businesses, but will the spring like temperatures hang around?

FOX Fort Wayne’s Chief Meteorologist Kennie Berg, says “Temperatures are going to continue to warm up. Spring is approaching, nice 50º to 60º degrees. It's even possible to get up to 80º in March, but it's also possible to see a cold front move through and a chance of show. Overall warm temperatures are sticking around, we just many have a day or two that are a little colder.”
