Allen County Sees Its 7th Homicide of 2010

The Allen County Coroner has ruled the death of 44-year-old Kasondra Harvey a homicide.

 

             Yesterday, just before noon, a relative entered Harvey’s home on the 8300 block of US-27 S, only to find Harvey dead.               Officials say Harvey was shot in the head.

 

“I was very surprised” says neighbor Michael Beckman

             Beckman and his family have lived on US-27 for about a year now.             Beckman says besides a few parties, he's rarely seen anyone outside or around Harvey's home.            “Other than that I just see mowing crews over there. I never really see anybody out” says Beckman.             Harvey's house is south of the Southtown Centre shopping complex, just outside of the Fort Wayne city limits.            This is the 7th homicide in Allen County this year, the first outside of the city limits since 2007. 

            

          “It's kind of scary living in the vicinity of something like that” says Beckman.

          The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is currently continuing investigation with this homicide. Stayed tuned to FOX Fort Wayne News First At Ten for the latest.
