Eighty-nine hopefuls competed Tuesday night to become this year's "FOX Fort Wayne Idol." Ronald Schneider of Fort Wayne won the local contest and receives a guaranteed audition in front of the American Idol producers in San Francisco on August 19th.
Each contestant had 30 seconds to wow the 5 judges (and the crowd) as they were judged on Singing Ability, Stage Presence, and Crowd Reaction. After all of the contestants performed, the ten with the highest scores were called back up on stage to perform again. The 1st round scores did not count for the final round.
The 10th season of American Idol returns to FOX Fort Wayne this January.
