SWAC Schools Have Balanced Budget

At a time where most school districts are struggling, the Southwest Allen County School district has a mostly balanced budget planned for 2011.

The 2011 budget is approximately $65 million. The district serves about 7,000 students. The district's business manager says SWACS started making budget cuts two-years ago in anticipation of tighter budgets in years to come.

The school board will vote on the budget at its next meeting on October 2, 2010.
