The FWCS Board has approved an approximately $274 million budget for 2011 but more cuts are still a possibility.

The 2011 budget is about $20 million less than 2010's budget. School board president Mark GiaQuinta says more budget cuts are possible depending on the State of Indiana. He says there is no way to know for sure whether more cuts lay ahead next year.

In order to balance the budget for 2011 the district had to shut down two schools, fire 91 teachers and outsource its janitorial staff.
