Out With The Old & In With The New

Three out of four incumbent Fort Wayne School Board members went down to defeat last night.

Only one was reelected. Mark GiaQuinta will keep his At-Large seat.

Lisa Olinger beat out incumbent Pamela Martin-Diaz for the other At-Large position.

Julia Hollingsworth defeated incumbent Mitch Sheppard in District 1.

And a big upset in District 4- Jordan Lebamoff beat incumbent Kevin Brown.

FOX Fort Wayne caught up with Lebamoff today. Weasked him what he plans to accomplish first.

"Olinger and Hollingsworth, we have to understand where they are coming from, what their objectives are more fully than what they've articulated on the campaign trail” says Lebamoff.

School board members serve a four-year term. New members will take over on January 1st.

Kevin Brown was heavily criticized by fellow board members following his drunk-driving arrest in September. Brown could not be reached today, but he had talked with fox fort Wayne earlier this week about the probability of losing.

"On Wednesday, when I wake up, should I not win or win, I’m not going to be disappointed. Winning means I return to what I love doing. Losing means I have to reflect on what's in store for Kevin Brown beginning on Thursday” said Brown.
