Rick O’Shay’s Owner Demands Police Help

By: Marchelle McConnell
Updated: November 10, 2010

Rick O'Shay's owner George Kotsopoulous tells FOX Fort Wayne that he has sent York a letter demanding off-duty officers be made available to provide security at his bar. Kotsopoulous, says every other store in the shopping strip has been granted an off duty officer. His letter shows he’s been without an off duty officer since 2003.

Sunday's shooting isn't the first at Rick O'Shays. Kotsopoulous told FOX Fort Wayne due to past violence, there's no reason his request should be denied.

Police Chief, Rusty York, told us, Kotsopoulous hasn't been granted an off-duty office because of his criminal past. Kostopoulous has been convicted.  York added that they've had trouble with Kotsopoulous for the last10 years. York says he will not grant Kotsopoulous an off-duty officer.

The pub owner says he is perusing legal action.
