Last week's string of gang shootings started at the Irish Pub, Rick' O'Shays.  Two died and man Demetrius Masterson was injured. The next day another shooting happened on the corner of Spatz and McKinney, where a woman was injured. And the third shooting was near McMillen Park, where a man was shot, but survived.

Masterson was arrested last week, for a drive-by he's believed to be involved in. That shooting happened November 3rd and was also at Spatz Avenue. Today he was in court for criminal recklessness and carrying a hand gun without a license.

This week there haven't been any shootings. Last week we were told gang activity is up. But police say that's since changed. Raquel Foster, the Public Information Officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department says “It's been very quiet and that can be because of a variety of factors. Sometimes in gangs you will have 1 or 2 key players. And when they are out of the picture or if they are lying low or under the radar you won't see much activity. It could be that a key player has been incarcerated; it could be that a key player died. It could be that they fled the area.”

Police will not release the names of others believed to be involved in the gang shootings. Masterson's next hearing will be December 8th.
