Liz Brown to Announce Run for Mayor

By: Daniel Woodruff
Updated: November 24, 2010

Fort Wayne City Councilwoman Liz Brown (R-At-Large) will announce her run for mayor next week, a source close to Brown told FOX Fort Wayne.

Brown was elected to city council in 2007. Since then, she has been a vocal critic of the Henry administration.
She will face Allen County Councilwoman Paula Hughes for the Republican nomination. Businessman Eric Doden is also expected to enter the race.

Earlier this year, Brown ran unsuccessfully for the GOP nomination for U.S. Congress after former Rep. Mark Souder resigned.
Mayor Tom Henry has not said whether he will seek re-election.
