City Court Plan Dies

Plans for a City Court in Fort Wayne are over after City officials agreed to kill the idea. City Clerk Sandy Kennedy proposed a City Court to streamline how the City processes ordinance violations.
Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards issued a statement last week saying she did not think the court's cost could be justified to taxpayers.
Today Deputy Mayor Beth Malloy and a representative of the Prosecutor's office made a joint appearance to say after discussing the issue with City Council members the plan was no longer on the table.
