The boys are back in town after a 9 game road trip and the TinCaps fans don't have to avoid them because of the heat.

The Show will go on! Despite heat warnings, the Fort Wayne TinCaps will continue their home series against the Cedar Rapid Colonels with some precautions.

"We have indoor batting cages that they can use, get's them out of the sun and out of the heat, so they utilize that," says Michael Limmer, VP of TinCaps' Marketing.

The TinCaps actually have an advantage in the heat.

"We do have a little bit of an acclamation because during Spring Training they're down in Arizona. So they're kind of used to the heat."

While the TinCaps fans aren't used to the heat, the organization assures that it is safe.

"We take precautions in this sort of instance. We make sure of where fans can be for shade and where drinking fountains are, as well as our splash pad in center field. People can take their kids over there".

Another convenience for the fans is that this series is all night games.

"The nice thing about 7 o'clock games, there's a nice portion of the ball park that's already shaded. We do get a nice breeze through here".

The TinCaps first aid staff  will also be paying attention to anyone that needs immediate care and they will have ice to hand out to anyone who needs to cool down.
