A well known Golf Tournament is making its way back to Fort Wayne. The Junior PGA Championship is set to begin next week and preparations are well underway.

For the third year in a row some of the world's best golfers are set to hit Fort Wayne for the JR. PGA Championships.

"I'm very excited to play.  I played here last year.  The golf course is great. In great condition, so I'm pretty excited," says tournament participant Ann Park from New Jersey.

Getting ready for the tournament is a 24/7 job for the staff over at Sycamore Hills.

"It has been a year round thing because this is our third national championship in three years.  We gather about 200 volunteers and we've got a core team of chair people that really make this thing happen for us," said Don Hunter, the Executive Director of Sycamore Hills.

Organizers say the event is also expected to give the city a huge economic boost.

Hunter expressed that, "Between 400 to 500 thousand for this tournament and this being our third in a row takes us well over a million dollars."

Most importantly this JR. PGA Championships gives golf fans in Fort Wayne a chance to see the sport's next superstars.

"The next Paul Cramer of Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson is going to be here.  Their going to be here playing the golf course and it's fun to watch and see how they conduct themselves and to even think 'I think this person's going to make it'. It's exciting to watch," said Tim Frazier, Director of Golf.

Now the tournament runs August 2nd through the fifth and for more information you can log onto PGAjuniorseries.com.
