A man was arrested Thursday morning after police uncovered a massive marijuana growing operation in his Allen County home.

On Thursday, police seized more than a half million dollars worth of marijuana plants from the basement a home on the 3-thousand block of Sand Point Road in Allen County.

The owner of the home, James McClurg, 46, was arrested and now faces felony drug charges, and a single charge of receiving stolen auto parts -- Police say they found a stolen motorcycle in McClurg's garage.

The home is across the street from the former Elmhurst High School, which closed in 2010. Allen County Police say they're not sure if McClurg will face additional charges because of the home's proximity. A spokesman was not sure if McClurg lived in the home while the school was still in operation.
