Candidates in this year's primary have just one full day of campaigning left before voters head to the polls. In the race for Senate, Richard Lugar is facing the fight of his career.

On Sunday, the senator spent much of the day in Fort Wayne. Lugar attended a church service, and visited volunteers at the local campaign headquarters.

Recent polls show the longtime senator is trailing ten points behind State Treasurer Richard Mourdock. On Saturday, Lugar said that his experience in Washington makes him an asset that the state cannot afford to lose.

Lugar touted his experience in the Senate Armed Services Committee, and accomplishments in this year's farm bill.

Last week, Treasurer Mourdock announced that if he lost the primary, he would endorse Senator Lugar's re-election. Lugar was asked if he would also endorse Mourdock should he not win on Tuesday, but he declined to comment.
