The 3 cooling centers that will remain open for the 4th are The Community Center on West Main Street from noon to 6 P.M., The Jerry Fox Lifetime Sports Academy from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M., and The Jennings Center on McCulloch from noon to 5 P.M.
Residents are encouraged to use any cooling centers to stay out of the hundred degree weather, especially with many houses without power due to the weekend's storms.
With cleanup crews working to return Fort Wayne to one hundred percent, damage statistics were released by the city today.
While many roads were blocked by trees and wires, only 12 roads remain blocked.
During the storm, much of the city was without power. Many lights were also taken out due to high winds and rain.12 traffic signals were still non-functioning as of earlier today.
The storms also left over 500 trees strewn throughout the city, with thousands of limbs having fallen as well.
