One Injured in Northside Home Explosion

Firefighters battled flames in one Northside neighborhood after a home exploded.
Just before noon, officials say something exploded at the home on the 1500 block of Bayer Ave. Neighbors reported hearing something that sounded like a bomb.
One man, who neighbors say was inside the home at the time of the explosion, was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. His condition was not available Saturday evening.
Investigators roped of a large area around the house where shards of glass and other debris had landed. Fire officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
