Pouncey was at the TCU training room going through rehabilitation on his injured right ankle while the team practiced for two hours in the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility on campus.
Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said he wasn't sure if Pouncey would take the field on Friday and that time is running out for him to prove he can be mobile enough to play against Green Bay in the title game.
"It's getting to be the witching hour for Maurkice," Tomlin said after practice. "He's going to have to show us something very soon."
Pouncey was injured during the first half of the AFC Championship Game against the New York Jets. The rookie was replaced on the line by Doug Legursky, who would get the start Sunday against Green Bay if Pouncey is unable to play.
Defensive end Aaron Smith, injured early in the season, dressed for practice for a second straight day but saw limited action with a torn triceps.
