Adams
county officers have arrested three people in connection with the recent attacks against members of the Amish community.

While the specifics of the case have not been released by police... I spoke with a member of the Amish community today who says a friend of his was attacked. His friend was riding in his buggy when several men came after him with baseball bats and demanded money.

"How could anyone be that heartless to just go and attack an Amish buggy," said Nick Miller a resident of Adams County.

"I can't even imagine that would even happen in Adams County," said Brad Logan, an Adams County resident.

Shane Rekeweg, Sheriff of the Adams County Sheriffs Department Says they received a high numbers of phone calls about the case.

"Phone calls that we received from the public and some work from the Berne police dept we were able to get some good tips as to who these individuals may be," said Rekeweg.

The Adams county sheriff's department received several reports Monday of attacks against the Amish community-- and today 18-year old Alejandro Lopez, 19 -year old David Veliz, and a minor were arrested for the attacks.

"I'm just happy that they are caught and everything hopefully justice will be served," said Miller.

"I'm glad they caught the person and hopefully this will be an example for other people," said Logan.

The Adams county community says they hope the arrests will put an end to the attacks.

The two adults arrested face charges of armed robbery and criminal confinement.  Formal charges are expected to be filed tomorrow.  Jim
