THE DROUGHT WAS BRUTAL ON THE CORN CROP IN OUR REGION BUT *PUMPKINS* MADE OUT PRETTY WELL.
WFFT'S SHERRELL HUBBARD VISITED A LOCAL FARM, THAT'S CASHING IN ON THE PUMPKIN CROP.

AGRICULTURE EXPERTS SAY THAT PUMPKINS DO NEED WATER TO GROW BUT SINCE THEY ARE PLANTED LATER, USUALLY NOT UNTIL MAY, AND HARVESTED LATER, RIGHT AROUND SEPTEMBER...THE CROP CAME UP, VIRTUALLY UNAFFECTED BY THE DROUGHT.
THE DROUGHT WAS COMING TO AN END AND THE RAIN STARTED TO COME, JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME.
