The telephones at the voter registration office rang non-stop today. People packed into the office like sardines, trying to make sure they can vote in the upcoming election. 95-year-old Geneva Hudson braved the crowd. Hudson called her neighbor to pick her up, she says registering to vote was vitally important.

Some people didn't need to register themselves but dropped off registration forms for others.

In the last presidential election if residents didn't get to the registration office before it closed on the last day they were simply out of luck. This time around, last minute voters can literally wait until the very last minute 11:59 p.M. That safety net is called online registration.

Online registration is convenient for those who've exhausted all other options. This is the first presidential election where it's been an option. Barry Schust is with the Allen County registration office. He says the online process has been a plus for residents and the registration office alike.

They got 1,000 online registrants last night and expect to get even more tonight. If you haven't registered you can do so at indianavoters.Com up until one minute before midnight.
