Parents say since all they do not know how to feel. The superintendent says when Strauss came here to South Adams Elementary a couple of years ago he came highly recommended and he went through a thorough background check. He says there has been no cause for concern.
Court documents paint a very different picture. They say Strauss started online correspondence with a former student in 2008. Documents say by 2009, when she was 15 and he was 37, Strauss fondled the girl and vice versa. Court documents allege they had more sexually inappropriate contact.

The investigation into Strauss was launched after receiving a tip about the inappropriate relationship. Strauss is being held on $35,000 bond.
