Aqua Indiana was forced to tap into the cities water supply during this summers drought as aqua customers complained of low water pressure--well Aqua has detached from the cities supply and will soon be the sole provider for aqua  customers.

The Indiana Utility regulatory Commission gave aqua the green light to detach from the cities water supply after completing the first phase of its' audit.---aqua released this statement.

"Aqua is confident that its wells and distribution system can meet t he demands for water supply and maintain water pressure for all of its customers."

The water supply controversy has even spilled over to a political controversy between state  senate candidates.

"State senator long sent a letter to the IURC this summer talking about the quality and service of aqua Indiana and I think he was a day late and a dollar short, said Tom Keen," State Senate Candidate.

"I'm probably more involved than any other state legislator in issues protecting consumers on water and sewer issues so I stand on my record--Mr. Keen didn't move here until 2006 so he wouldn't even know about that law," said David Long, Indiana State Senator.

Aqua Indiana says things will improve as the drought is over, demand is down and the company now has a 500,000 gallon a day well to bump the supply.
