Allen County voters stood in long lines and some short ones to exercise their right.  At polling places around the city you could cast your vote quickly and get in and get out. Voters trickled in slowly to a downtown community center.  At the Washington Township Fire Department, however, poll workers say they were slammed with wait times at about a hour and a half.

The Election Board says on average, wait times were nott that long.  Andy Boxberger is the Vice President of the Election Board, he says waiting in line is not necessarily a bad thing.  He says "To me long lines are kind of a good sign because it means that turnout is good."

Election Board officials were busy on the phones through the afternoon, trouble-shooting problems.  They say for the most part, Election Day in Allen County went off without a hitch.
