Attempted Robbery

Fort Wayne, Indiana - Fort Wayne police are looking for two suspects after an attempted robbery Wednesday morning. Police responded to a robbery call around 11:43 a.m. from employees at the Freedom Financial Credit Union at 1802 Inwood Drive.

Employees told police they saw two men approach the bank, one of whom was armed.The employees quickly activated the security system to lock the front doors and keep the two men outside.

Police say the suspects fled by foot to a residential area and may have escaped in a getaway car.

No injuries were reported.

According to police, Freedom Financial Credit Union was the site of four robberies in the past two years.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department or call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP(7867).
