Robbery at Colony Bay Apartments

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WFFT) - Fort Wayne police say there was an attempted armed robbery in the parking lot of the Colony Bay apartments Saturday night.

Police say a couple was approached by two men in the parking lot. One of the men was armed. The couple was able to run into the building and lock the doors. The suspects left empty handed.

Police won't say if this attempted robbery is connected to eight others since last Monday. In the other robberies two armed men approached people in apartment parking lots and hallways.

Colony Bay was targeted last week as one of the eight robberies.
