New Haven, Ind. (WFFT) - Some local school districts may be reaping the benefit from local charter school troubles.

Recently Ball State decided not to renew its sponsorship of three Fort Wayne charters and that has some parents shopping around for new schools.

Today WFFT spoke with parents at the East Allen County School Choice Fair who are enrolling their children in the district from charter schools.

Tania Norwood's daughter currently attends a local charter school. She met with teachers and faculty at the fair today to enroll her daughter in the district. Norwood told WFFT, "I just think she's not being challenged enough so we want to send her to a school that's more secure and can push her."

According to Tamyra Kelly with East Allen County Schools, abut 1,300 students will be effected by the non-renewals.
