Three businesses at the Market of Canterbury were consumed in the blaze. Multiple calls came in to the Fort Wayne Fire Department around 5 a.m. this morning.

The fire was under control by 6:18 a.m. No injuries were reported. The cause is still under investigation. Mitchell's bar and grill was among businesses hit by the fire.

Landon Nichols is the owner of Mitchell's Bar and Grill. He told WFFT, "We'll just rebuild and go from there."

Mitchells was named a top 10 bar in the city by Fort Wayne Magazine. Landon says he was looking forward to business during March Madness.

"You know this was our home and a lot of our customer's second homes." said Nichols.

Firefighters were able to control the fire around 6 a.m.

"When initial crews responded flames were already through the roof. So it already had an advanced start on us," said Ron Privett, Chief of Operations for the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
