Paul Helmke Honored as 2013 Recipient for Award

The former Fort Wayne Mayor was awarded in a noon ceremony at St. Mary's on Wednesday, March 13.
Helmke is currently a Professor at Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs in Bloomington.
Helmke was also mayor of Fort Wayne from 1988 to 2000, and served as the President and CEO of the Brady Campaign to stop gun violence from 2006-2011.
Paul Helmke was selected by the award committee for his leadership in public policy and nonviolence.
