Many here in Fort Wayne eagerly watched the season finale of American Idol wondering if heavily favored Adam would take home the crown or if underdog Kris would sweep it from under his feet. From who is their favorite judge to who they thought would become the next American Idol, Fort Wayne residents weighed in on the T.V. phenomenon that has swept the nation. Surprisingly many were quick to admit that Simon was their favorite judge, noting that they appreciate his honesty. And when it came to asking the ultimate question “Who do you think will be the next American Idol?” all said they believed Adam would win it all. So won would go on to become the 8th American Idol? America voted and the next American Idol is…Kris Allen. Quite a surprise to many but surely this won’t be the last time we’ll be hearing the name Adam Lambert.
