WFFT Technical Director

WFFT Local News First at Ten, the Fort Wayne FOX affiliate is searching for a technical director. We put on an action packed hour long show 7 nights a week. This position is not for beginners. The show has many live elements, stingers and graphics that will keep even the most experienced TD very busy. If you love being pressured to perform and can handle lots of changes on the fly during a live broadcast, then send your resume, cover letter and several examples of shows that you`ve directed. This position is for a main director, the shift will be Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11pm. Applicants must have at least one year of experience. News Editor / Assistant Producer

Do you have a passion for local news? Do you want the challenge of showing off your editing skills? WFFT Local News is looking for an individual to join our staff who can edit video for our award-winning 10pm Newscast, and can assist the Producer of the show.

Avid editing experience is a plus. Must work quickly and calmly under deadline stress, be a good communicator, and have a positive, can-do attitude.

The successful candidate will help edit promos for our 10pm Newscast, as well as help stack the order of the show, write intros and outros to stories, and help the Technical Director with the timing of the show.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 6pm to 11pm. This is a part-time, paid position.

Weekend Anchor/Reporter/Producer

WFFT Local in Fort Wayne, IN is looking for a dynamic Weekend Anchor/Reporter/Producer. Responsibilities include anchoring and producing our top rated weekend 10pm hour long newscast, along with MMJ reporting 3 days a week. This position is not for beginners, we need a leader on weekends who lives and breathes this business. The ideal candidate must have great news judgment, amazing time management skills, and be able to shoot, write, and edit their own stories. Knowledge of Avid news cutter, INews, and ENG camera equipment is preferred.

Other required duties include posting content to station website, and social network pages, along with making community appearances on a regular basis. Applicants must have a good driving record and be able to lift 30lbs of equipment.

Weekend Sports Anchor/Sports Reporter

WFFT Local News First at Ten, has an opening for a Weekend Sports Anchor/Weekday MMJ Sports Reporter. If you love to shoot, write, and edit your own sports cast then this is the job for you. Fort Wayne has 3 minor league teams that our local viewers love to watch. From Tin Caps baseball, to Komets Hockey, and Mad Ants basketball you will stay very busy. In addition to those teams, local high school sports is another big part of our sportscast, from covering games to profiling local players. You'll also cover college teams like Purdue, Ball State, IU, IPFW, and Notre Dame. You will also have the opportunity to travel and cover major league teams and major sporting events, such as the Indy 500, Pacers, Bengals, and more. If you live and breathe sports 24/7, then this job is the perfect fit. The weekend sports anchor will also help to co-host a half-our show each week on Friday nights, called the Locker-Room.

Account Executive

WFFT Local, a Nexstar Broadcasting - owned FOX affiliated station is seeking an Account Executive to maintain and build account lists through advertising agencies and direct contacts. Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft business applications and a general understanding of internet terminology and usage. Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communications skills, a strong work ethic and a proven sales record.

Other requirements include a four year college degree and/or prior broadcast television and internet sales experience is preferred but not needed.
