Arkansas Game and Fish will be stocking hundreds of rainbow trout and channel catfish along with two big blue catfish to provide some exciting opportunities.

Also, 100 fish will be tagged for special prizes that can be claimed at the Nature Centers.

Not only is getting a prize exciting, but the tagged fish help biologists acquire information.

Here's where the stocking will occur:
  • Little Rock-MacArthur Park Pond
  • Pine Bluff-MLK Park Pond
  • Jonesboro-Craighead Forest Park Pond
  • Ft. Smith-Well's Lake
It's National Wildlife Week. Visit one of four nature centers or four education centers around the state.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be sponsoring several programs at the education centers and nature centers to help Arkansans understand wildlife, conservation and the outdoors.

Check out their web site to learn more about what's going on at AGFC centers.
