For the past few years, the Catholic Charities of Fort Wayne has limited the number of refugees it takes in because of limits put in place by the state department. Those limits have been lifted this year -- now, applicants are up six fold from 2012.
Currently, officials say there are somewhere around four thousand Burmese refugees living in the Summit City. This year, Catholic Charities plans to relocate roughly 170 more.
