A local fire victim and his rescuer reunited tonight for the first time since last Friday's blaze in Allen County. And WFFT was the only station on hand for tonight's reunion.

It was an emotional meeting for Steve Harris and Ben Rinker.
Rinker is use to saving lives as a volunteer firefighter.
But, this time was unlike any other.

The fire happened Friday night on the 7600 block of U.S. 33.

Rinker says he was driving by the area with his family when he saw the flames shooting out of the front door. He stopped his car and ran into the burning home. Minutes later he exited with Steve Harris in tow. Harris was alone and asleep at the time. He was taken the hospital and was released tonight.

WFFT met up with Harris as he and Rinker were reunited for the first time since the fire.

Take a listen to the exclusive interview with the two.
