Each year, the vaccine varies to protect against new strains. This season's strain protects against H3N2, H1N1, and Influenza B. Health officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warn that the H3N2 strain of the flu virus tends to make people sicker than usual and appears to be predominant this season.
To get a flu vaccine, you can check out your local health clinic or pharmacy. The Fort Wayne Allen County Immunization Clinic offers vaccinations for $18.00.
