Family Recalls Terrifying Time On The Ice

A local girl is lucky to be alive after nearly drowning in a pond behind her Allen County home.


Sammy Buuck,8, was playing out back Saturday when she fell into the water, quickly falling beneath the ice.

Her brother, Tony, 12, heard her calls for help and without a second thought slid onto the ice, also falling through shortly after.

Both are safe and sound today thanks to tony's courageous efforts.
