The East Allen County School board will continue the rest of this school year without a superintendent.
You might recall, last week WFFT told you about the buy out deal, and severance package, agreed upon between the board and outgoing superintendent, Dr. Karlye Green.
The board is paying green over $196,000 dollars in severance pay.
Green's contract was to originally end in June 2014.
EACS officials say they don't know why she is resigning, but board president Neil Reynolds says he thinks she feels she has accomplished all she can for the district.
Reynolds says they've started their search for Green's replacement.
The board will choose a new superintendent by the end of August.
